As
a trained actress and singer I spent years and years discovering
the world via body, movement & emotions. Exploring &
expressing the connection between me & the world through
art seemed to be the most appropriate way.
Then
I have spent my first three Berlin years, as I call them, WORKING
- meaning: putting my time into various things/jobs/projects
that had money as an outcome or connections - sometimes not
connected to art or beauty at all...On one hand I found that
quite exhausting to be honest...on the other hand I thought:
o wow - this is the reality of most of the working people. Now
I know why it is so important to help bringing back joy, art
& relaxation by PLAYING into mine and other people's lives.
Lately
I have turned the tables again and decided to establish that
connection between art, self discovery & expression, beauty
& earning a living anew.
The
first English Drama Course from March to June 2009 was
one of these projects, the next drama projects are already planned
or in progress.
Amongst
other things I am working as a director and drama educator at
the English Theatre Berlin, for TUSCH and in various other schools
in Berlin. One project is a play and exhibition about personal
stories about the Berlin Wall - premiered on November 16th 2009
at the ETB. Also I am currently developing an Indian Theatre
Exchange Project with the ETB.
